18 Kids and Counting, Radford family

Britain's biggest family is set to get even bigger after announcing they are expecting baby number 19. Sue and Noel Radford vowed they wouldn't have anymore children after the birth of Hallie Alphia Beau eight months ago.
The Radfords, who run a successful bakery in Morecambe, Lancashire, posted a blog titled "We have some news to share!!!.... Say hello to our precious new addition #19!!!" this morning.

They explained they had decided to surprise their other 18 children by leaving the scan photo on the fireplace and wait to see how long it took before anyone noticed it. It said: "We announced our news to the children last week after having a brilliant scan, we decided to put the scan photo on the fireplace and sit back and watch to see who noticed it first well it really didn't take long.

"Tillie spotted it first and said ohhhh who’s that with a big grin on her face we said who do you think it is (sic)? "She said I need to go get Millie so she ran to get her and came back in closely followed by the rest of the children the reaction was so funny they are so excited.

"We did want to keep it a secret for a little while longer but the children have been so excited and sharing the news so we decided it was time to share it with you all." Sue, 40, told the Sun: “It has come as a huge surprise. We were adamant that we wouldn’t have more. But it is a brilliant start to the New Year.” The Radfords raise their huge family without claiming any extra state benefits aside from the regular child benefit.
