Zoe Jackson, 35, was furiously angry when millionaire racehorse owner Gerard Brogan, 46, ended their three-month relationship. She snuck on to his £1.1million estate and poured a bagful of fish heads and guts into his 40C hot tub. Gerard was almost sick when he found the stinking mess two days later.
Gerard, who owns one of the UK’s leading web design firms, told how they met on the dating app in January 2015. He said: “Zoe was OK at first, but after three months together it was getting a bit intense, especially when she told me she had six children.
“I just wasn’t ready for that kind of commitment and I said I’d have to call things off, but she wouldn’t accept it. “In March, soon after we’d finished, I had some friends round. We were going to spend some time in the hot tub so I went round and took off the lid.
“I was hit by the most horrific stink. All I could see was a lot of floating fish heads and eyes which had been bubbling away at 40C for two days. I was almost sick. Thankfully I have CCTV cameras and I went back over the tapes.
“Sure enough there was Zoe creeping around outside. She was carrying a plastic carrier bag, which must have been full of the fish remains. I was angry, of course, and I went straight to the police. “The hot tub was ruined. It cost £750 to have it fixed because there was fish guts clogging up all the filters.
“Even after it had been dealt with the smell of fish lingered. In the end I replaced it, which cost about £4,000.” He added: “She lived in Redcar so must have driven 35 miles with a bag of fish guts, which gives some idea how determined she was to get back at me.”
Gerard left with £4,000 bill.
Gerard claims she left a pack of Skips crisps and a dead rat on his step after he called her “a skiprat” during a row. His home has a swimming pool, a tennis court, a snooker room and space for his three racehorses.
Zoe appeared before Northallerton magistrates where she admitted £754 of criminal damage. She was given a conditional discharge and told to pay £520 compensation. She is now pregnant with her seventh child and plans to wed fiance Steve Edwards soon. At their home she said: “What happened was between me and a man who enjoyed playing women.
“He got caught red-handed by myself and two others. I am not sorry because it is men like him who ruin lives.”Gerard responded to her cheating claims saying: “That’s absolute nonsense. I’ve never two-timed anyone in my life.”
