A US trader, Josh Sanchez-Maldonado who flew to the UK for a job interview jumped onto a train roof to kill himself after failing to land the role. The 24 year-old was spotted walking along the top of a train in West London shortly before his death last year.
He smashed into a footbridge at high speed and was knocked onto the embankment, dying from head and chest injuries, but was not found until a week later. An inquest into his death heard that he had been receiving therapy at home after ringing a suicide helpline following the break-up of a long-term relationship six months before.
He’d then decided to go travelling but broke off his holiday to fly from Puerto Rico to London for an interview, amid a drive to focus “more on his goals”. Josh was caught jumping onto the train by a nearby security camera.
The British Transport Police, said: “From the CCTV, it appears to be a deliberate act. It was extremely dangerous. “The train would have been going 60 to 70mph when he was thrown off. That would have caused major injuries to Josh when he came off the top of the train.”
The coroner Chinyere Inyama said: “There can be no serious explanation other than Josh intended to do some serious harm.”
Really Saddening....Not the best decision to take.
